Subaru has determined that over time, due to initial variation in rear stabilizer bracket dimensions, the rear stabilizer bracket bolt(s) may loosen and possibly detach. If the rear stabilizer bracket bolt(s) detach, there is an increased risk of a crash.

Q: What should I do?
A: You should contact any authorized Subaru retailer (dealer) immediately for an appointment to have this safety recall repair performed, at no cost to you.
Q: What will be done to the vehicle?
A: Subaru will inspect the condition of the rear stabilizer bracket bolts and retorque them to specification, if necessary, at no cost to you. If a bolt is missing, a new one will be installed at no cost to you.
Q: What Subaru models are involved?
A: Certain 2018-2019 model year Crosstrek, 2019 model year Crosstrek Hybrid, and 2019 model year Forester vehicles.
Q: Do I need to make an appointment?
A: Yes. Please contact your servicing Subaru retailer to set up an appointment to ensure that a retailer can allocate a time slot to best accommodate you.
Q: How much will this recall cost?
A: This recall will be performed free of charge at any authorized Subaru retailer.
Q: Do I have to return to the retailer where I bought the car?
